Moccasin Shopping

Kristy's new Moccasins and the guy that sold them to her . . . . sort of . . . one of those points is a lie . . . you can figure out which one.

Pick a Peck of Pickled . . . . Apples

Our wares - we (literally) picked a peck of apples, bought another half-peck and some apple butter and strawberry 'spread'.

Apple Picking at SkyTop

One of the things we did on Monday was to visit "SkyTop Orchard" where we picked some apples. It was FREEZING - I loved it . . . reminded me of home. Most of the apples were already picked - it was late in the season. But we got some good ones - and we bought some strawberry jam and apple butter.

Land of the Blue Smoke

These are shots taken right at the TN/NC border. There is a cherokee word, that I don't know, for this region - and it means "Land of the Blue Smoke". Pretty amazing.

Morton Overlook

Our second stop was Morton Overlook - A little further up the mountain range. The colors were a little more autumn looking as well.
